Our thoughts and prayers are with Palomma Casanova’s family and friends
both in real life and Second Life.
Palomma was a kind and generous woman who helped many new people find their
way in world through The Free Dove and her charitable spirit shone bright.
May she Rest In Peace.
This is sad news. A few years ago I was taking pictures in her garden, ‘SUNFLOWER PARK with ANGELICAL MEMORIES, http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Epilais/230/197/100 which includes a touching memorial to her real-life sister, Ingrid.
We talked for some time during my visit and she came over as such a warm, friendly kind-hearted person.
I wonder if there is any chance at all of it being preserved in her memory?
Palomma created the very first active modeling agentcy in SL. Weekly runway shows & model training. Shortly after, she created the Free Dove, which became a staple for so many old & new residents, alike.
The skies are a little more grey today, with her passing. We’ll think of you often, Palomma with great fondness, love, and gratitude.

Indeed, I agree, she was an angel in helping so many. What a beautiful song by Wynonna and so spot on with the lyrics!
Heartfelt condolences to her RL family and friends as well as those in SL.
Free Dove made me the fashionista today when I first discovered it way back in 2008. It opened my eyes to the fact that there were decent designers out there that made clothes of quality. And even though the Free Dove items were a few years behind, the quality was far better than any other site providing free items to new people. God Bless you Palomma – you have touched all of us!
My condolances to her rl and sl friends and family, she was a sweet person 🙁
My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
Much love to the friends and family, here’s to hoping they find peace quickly and can live happily in their name
Free Dove has always been a staple in my Second Life adventures. When my friends would join Sl the first place we would go, would be Free Dove. I am saddened to hear about Palomas passing. She will be missed. She was a wonderful, giving person. Her charitable works were legion.
My sincere condolences to her RL & SL family and friends.🙏RIP
Thank you for posting the link to Sunflower Park above. I feel like I’ve missed a kindred spirit and saddened by the chance I’ll never have to meet a well loved and liked person.
Palomma (Dove) Casanova was one of the most caring people I have ever met. She spent her life helping others and even though she is no longer with us everything she did in SL and all the lives and hearts she touched will live on forever in her memory ♥
RIP Dear Palomma
You were truly an angel
You will never be forgotten
My condolences to her rl and sl friends and family,
free dove gave me some of my best memories, makes me sad knowing this….
ironic how we do not think about the good and kindness we receive and who is behind it until moments like these, I wish I have thanked her when I had the chance 🙁
may she rest in peace…
My sincere condolences to her RL & SL family and friends.🙏RIP
I often went to her store and met many people there and sent new and old alike to check out her place. I was just talking to my friend last night to give him a landmark to help a new player. I am sorry to see her go and hope her sister greets her in the heavens when she arrives <3 She will be missed.
Today our hearts are orphans but she will stay alive in our memories, rest in peace Palomma ♥
May you Rest In Peace, Palomma. You were a wonderful, generous, kind person and friend. I shall never forget you. Rest easy in the arms of Jesus.
It’s hard to find words to describe such a generous and kind woman. She helped so many residents…old…but especially new people. Her creativity and dedication is evident in the beautiful places she created. she will be sorely missed. I hope and pray that Linden Labs will see fit to keep The Free Dove open as a memorial…perhaps a museum. That would be wonderful. Rest in heaven beautiful soul…enjoy your wings…You earned them.
We would speak at times about life. I rented an apartment from her, and she was always quick to respond to any need I had, even when it wasn’t urgent. I treasured the time she gave to me, and found myself always in deep respect for what she accomplished. Her park is absolutely beautiful, just like her. I will miss her very deeply.
So sad to hear that, she was such a nice person and Free Dove has always had a special place in my heart.
It was my first home, cute little rentals at Free Dove.
Without Palomma’s generosity with the Free Dove many of us who first started using SL would have nowhere to go. It was very nice of her to do all she did for the newbies. I remember how I used to go to Free Dove to check out what was new at the time. I hope Palomma has a special place in Heaven. Thank you Palomma. You are a loving spirit. Fly High!
